Terms of Use

Effective 25 October 2026 · Version 1

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

rocksnfutures.com is run by Baslins Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16437409), trading as Rocks 'n' Futures.

Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Email: hello@rocksnfutures.com

These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, reads our content, subscribes to our newsletter or sends us information through our forms. By using the site you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.

2. What Rocks 'n' Futures is

A free directory of mining technology companies, organised by mine stage, with articles, reports and ratings. We decide which companies to list and may add, change or remove features at any time. Paid features, when we offer them, will come with their own terms.

3. Information, not advice

Everything on the site is general information. It is not investment, financial, legal, technical, engineering or procurement advice. Nothing here is an offer or invitation to buy or sell securities, and we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Before you buy, fund or deploy any technology, do your own due diligence and take professional advice. Don't rely on the site as the only basis for a decision.

4. Directory listings

  • We list companies from public sources and our own research. Listing is free, and being listed is an editorial decision, not an endorsement.
  • We aim for accuracy, but public information goes stale. Each profile shows when we last reviewed it and when its data was last refreshed. Details may be incomplete or out of date.
  • Where we infer a value, such as the size of an unnamed customer, we mark it as estimated. Values we don't know are shown as undisclosed.
  • No company can pay to be listed, to change its position or to change its rating. If we offer paid placements, they will be clearly labelled as paid.
  • We may edit, decline or remove any listing.

5. Ratings

  • Rocks 'n' Futures ratings are our opinion. We form them by applying our methodology to the evidence available on the date shown.
  • We link the facts behind a rating, such as a pilot or a named customer, to their sources.
  • We compare companies only with others in the same category.
  • A "public evidence" rating uses public sources only and has not been checked with the company.
  • A rating is not a certification, guarantee or endorsement of any product's performance, safety or fitness for a site or purpose.
  • Any company can send us evidence. We review it and may change the rating, but we decide the rating independently.
  • If we have a commercial relationship with a rated company, such as a sponsorship or a paid feature, we note it on its profile.

6. Claiming a profile and sending us information

  • If you claim a profile or send content for a company, you confirm that you work for it and are authorised to act for it, and you accept these terms on its behalf. We may ask for proof, such as a reply from an address on the company's domain.
  • Everything you send must be accurate, lawful and free to share.
  • A person reviews every submission before anything is published. We may edit it for accuracy, length and style, or decline it.
  • Whoever owns what you send (usually the company) keeps ownership. They give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show it on the site, in our newsletter and in our reports while the profile is listed, and in editions already published after that.
  • If a claim is made against us because a submission was unlawful or infringed someone's rights, the company that sent it covers our reasonable costs.
  • Each profile shows its status. Listed means we added the company from public sources. Claimed means someone from the company has claimed the profile. We may change a profile's status if circumstances change.

7. Corrections and removal

Use Request a change on the site. A person reviews every request, and we aim to reply within 3 working days. Data protection requests are answered within one month at the latest.

We correct factual errors when you show us a reliable source. Ratings and analysis are opinion: we review them when new evidence arrives, but we don't change them on request alone. People named on the site can have their personal details removed (Privacy Policy, section 4).

8. Our content and the directory database

The site's own text, design, maps, ratings and reports, and the directory as a database (how it is selected, verified and arranged), belong to us or our licensors. They are protected by copyright and database right. Company descriptions, logos and other material published or supplied by companies belong to those companies.

You may:

  • read the site and share links to it
  • quote short extracts, credited to Rocks 'n' Futures with a link
  • use the information inside your own organisation

You may not, without our written permission:

  • copy or extract substantial parts of the directory or the ratings by automated or systematic means
  • republish the directory or the ratings, in whole or in substantial part
  • train or fine-tune AI models on our content, or use it to build a competing database
  • present ratings out of context or imply that we endorse you
  • frame the site or remove our attribution

Search engines and AI answer engines may index and cite public pages, with a link, under the rules in our robots.txt.

Company names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the companies, and their appearance implies no endorsement either way. To have a logo removed or changed, use Request a change.

9. Acceptable use

Don't use the site to break the law, submit false information, impersonate anyone, upload malicious code, or probe, overload or get around its security. Don't harvest personal data about the people named on it. We may block access if you do.

10. Our newsletter

Our newsletter is free. Unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your email address.

11. Links to other sites

We link to company websites, sources and press coverage. We don't control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

12. Availability

The site is free and provided as it is. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or complete, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.

13. Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
  • The site is for business and professional use. We are not liable for lost profits, business or opportunities, or for losses from decisions you make using the site.
  • Otherwise, our total liability to you for anything arising from the site is limited to £100.
  • If you use the site as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

14. Changes to these terms

We post updated terms here with a new effective date. If you have claimed a profile, we email you about material changes. Using the site after a change means you accept it.

15. Law and disputes

The law of England and Wales governs these terms, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there.
